Privacy Policy
The Advanced Psychology Institute (“API,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of all individuals who use our online learning platform. This policy describes the type of information we collect, the purpose for which it is used, and the measures we take to keep it secure. By creating an account or enrolling in a course, you consent to the practices outlined in this Privacy Policy.
When you register for an account or participate in a course, you may be asked to provide personal information such as your name, email address, contact details, and account login credentials. In the course of your participation, we may also collect information about your enrollment history, course progress, quiz or exam results, certificates issued, and any communication you send through the platform. Payment details entered during registration or checkout are collected and processed securely through Thinkific’s approved payment providers; API does not have access to full payment card information.
We use the information you provide to create and maintain your student account, grant access to the courses you have enrolled in, keep track of your progress, issue CEU certificates upon completion, process payments, and communicate with you about course-related matters. Certain information may also be used to meet continuing education recordkeeping requirements and to ensure compliance with relevant accreditation or regulatory standards.
In accordance with CEU and professional development regulations, we may retain records of course completions, certificates, attendance, and exam results for up to six years. This retention period allows us to respond to verification requests, audits, or compliance reviews from licensing bodies or accrediting organizations.
Your data is stored within Thinkific’s secure online learning environment. Thinkific uses industry-standard safeguards to protect personal information from loss, unauthorized access, misuse, or disclosure. API does not sell, trade, or distribute your personal information to third parties. Information is shared only when legally required or when necessary to fulfill continuing education verification obligations.
You may contact us at any time to request access to the information associated with your student account, to ask for corrections to your profile, or to request deletion of your account. Please note that if you have completed CEU courses, certain records may need to be retained to satisfy accreditation or regulatory requirements, even if your account is closed.
